Why do they call wisdom teeth, wisdom teeth? They don't make you any more or less wise, in or out. I know one thing, they sure are expensive to get rid of.
Thursday afternoon found my granddaughter and I at the oral surgeon's office, it took him a half hour from start to finish, to pull her two bottom wisdom teeth. Cost, $430. and this was without being put to sleep. That would have required an additional $50. for the consult, and $100. for the shot that would have put her under. It was her decision to save the $150. and as she said, the real pain came soon after we got home.
This is not a happy camper!
Sure I bought her the antibiotics and the pain pills, but her cheeks were out to there and my brave little girl was in tears that night, even after taking the meds. Two days later, her left cheek is still out to there but the pain has subsided and she is just taking Ibuprofen. Kat's biggest complaint now is the fact that she hasn't been able to brush her teeth the way she usually does. My girls have been scared off of taking any sort of drugs, knowing their backgrounds they won't even drink a glass of wine. I don't have it in the house and we don't go to bars so aren't tempted in the least.
